Cruising With Kids

Cruising makes for the ultimate family vacation – if you choose the right ship! What better way for your kids to
explore foreign lands and exotic destinations than onboard a cruise ship? Cruising is the easiest and most
stress-free way to travel with kids! Contemporary and premium lines have fantastic children’s
facilities and programs.

Carnival’s Camp Carnival™,Royal Caribbean’s Adventure Ocean™, and Princess’s Love Boat Kids™ are just a few of the signature programs.
Even Holland America, once regarded as a cruise for a more mature clientele, have built their new ships with kids in mind offering
Camp HAL™ with excellent children’s facilities and programs.

Ships designed for family cruising boast rock climbing walls, mini golf, splash pools, state of the art computer labs with all the latest software, video
arcades, and science labs complete with microscopes and test tube, private pool areas and all the best arts and crafts stuff that will have the junior cruisers’ creativity running
wild. Youth counsellors on board keep the kids entertained in small groups according to age. And children can be checked into and out of the programs to suit your
schedule.

Each day, programs are printed listing the daily activities including arts and crafts, talent shows, treasure hunts, movies and more. The kids have a private disco, pizza
parties and private dress-up dinner parties. Some of the youth programs, depending on the itinerary, offer family only shore tours and children-only shore tours. Many
ships have special teen areas for the older kids that include internet cafes. Programs are designed so that the smaller children can be checked in and out of the activities
by a parent. After dinner activities and late night slumber parties give parents the opportunity to enjoy a romantic dinner for two, the casino, dancing and all the
other grown-up features the ship has to offer.
